Questions? This is the place to find them! If you can’t find the answer you’re looking for, feel free to reach out to us here and we’ll find the answer for you!

Sewing Questions:

Will I need to bring my sewing machine?

Nope! Our wonderful Janome dealer, Sew Vac City from College Station, TX will be providing the machines. We’ll also already have on board cutting mats, rotary cutters, and most supplies. A few months prior to the cruise departure date we’ll send out a supply list with optional kit information.

Cruise Questions:

Are there things we can do to prevent being sea sick?

There are many natural, over-the-counter, and prescriptions for motion sickness. You’ll find that many times, you won’t even be able to tell that the ship is moving due to its size! If you are worried about feeling a bit of motion sickness a good all natural option is candied ginger. For medicine recommendations speak with your doctor or pharmacist who will be able to best answer your questions.

Will the sewing room be open every day? Should I bring something to work on in our down time?

The sewing room will be open every day. For classes there will be an instructor present. If you choose to not get off the ship during port days there will be time to use the machines, usually in the afternoons, if you choose to sew! Feel free to bring something if you’d like, but honestly, there’s so much to do you may not even get to your project! If you want something to do if you have downtime a good book or small hand-sewing project are great options!

How do I find out about excursions?

Erin has been to ALL these ports and is happy to assist in scheduling your excursions! Some of the more popular ones will sell out before the cruise begins, so if you see one you are really interested in, be sure to register as soon as you can!

Can I bring my spouse or a friend? What if that person doesn’t sew?

Absolutely! The more the merrier! In fact, Danielle and Erin will have non-sewing guests! A non-sewing guest will have a price reduction of $150 on their cruise too!

Payment Questions:

What happens after I fill out the registration form?

We will be in touch to get your room reservation set in stone, dining options taken care of, and a couple other small housekeeping items. At the same time we’ll get a Credit Card Authorization form for you to e-sign via a secure service. Then it’s up to you to pay the remaining balance by the due date shown in your welcome email. Pay the rest all at once, or a little every month, we’re flexible!

Can I pay it in full right now?

Definitely! Contact us and we’ll get it all taken care of!

Travel Questions:

Will I need a passport?

You will need a passport. Don’t worry, you have plenty of time to complete the application process. We recommend completing that process by November/December 2019 just to be on the safe side.

If you already have a passport make sure it doesn’t expire within 6 months following our cruise date.

What if I can’t drive to the port and need to fly in?

We recommend flying in the day before. Although the ship leaves port at 4pm you’ll want to be on board well before then! Flying in the day before will allow time if there is a cancellation or delay. Erin can even help you find a hotel close to port if you need one!
